iScape 2.0 for iOS

Smart Landscape Design: Simple, Intuitive Controls

[prMac.com] Mount Pleasant, South Carolina – Home Revivals today is pleased to announce iScape 2.0 for iOS, an update to its professional landscaping app that lets users take and alter photos of areas they want to landscape, creating their imagined design before beginning the work. The newest update to the iScape application features a redesigned user interface and Pen-Tool, easy access to texture images, and more changes that make its use straightforward and simple. The app is compatible as well with Retina display and the iPhone 5.

Feature Highlights:
* Straightforward, elegant layout and interface
* iScape database featuring flowers, trees, walkways, patios, and more
* Work in layers for easy image alteration, flipping, and arrangement
* Redesigned “Textures” Pen-Tool
* Restructured Texture feature
* Improved image database
* Image Editor toolbox
* Pinch scaling gesture
* Download all or favorites in Database for offline access
* Retina display and iPhone 5 support
* Save and share design via Camera Roll, Print, Email, or Facebook
* Optional Holiday Image Packs

iScape 2.0’s simplified layout allows users to work on their landscapes effortlessly. A picture can be shot using the device’s camera, or landscapers can use an image from the app’s built-in library. The picture then becomes the background layer of the screen. The tasteful menu at the bottom of the screen allows users to visit the Database, Textures, and Clear or Share their design.

As landscapers work on their designs, new layers are added with each added element. They can then double tap the screen to view a top menu with layer options. Here, users can lock, unlock, delete or duplicate layers, as well as rearrange the order of layers and flip them to create mirror images.

The image database offers users a great variety of trees, shrubs, flowers, grass, succulents, planters, water features, and hardscapes that can be added to their projects. Each category offers extensive options for natural images that can be added to the landscape seamlessly for realistic planning.

The latest version of iScape features a completely restructured Database, one that lets users tap their chosen category and image with ease. Once a new image is added with a simple double tap, the user can drag it with a finger touch, or resize it using the pinch scaling method. Users can also download all categories, or just download select favorites, ahead of time so that they may be used offline on the app in the future.

The Texture images are now available as a bottom scroll bar. When tapped, the users can choose from over 30 different textures to add to their landscape. The new Pen-Tool lets users select a certain area where a new texture will be added. The Textures Pen-Tool draws with dotted lines for smooth and easy viewing and application. Within each selected area, textures can be adjusted and moved with easy touch controls.

Its intuitive controls make iScape 2.0 easy-to-use for everyone, from the home gardener to the professional, highlighting the creative side of landscape design for an overall enjoyable experience.

Once created, users can save and share their landscape via the Share button on the menu. Here they have the option to save the image to album, print, email, or share it through Facebook.

“iScape’s latest update offers just what users want for straightforward landscape planning,” commented Patrick Pozzuto of Home Revivals. “The app is ideal for professional landscapers as well as the everyday homeowner.”

  1. […] 3. iScape: This simple app helps users visualize the design of a garden, yard or landscape effortlessly. A picture can be shot using the device’s camera. The picture then becomes the background layer of the screen. You may then add details like flowers, walkways and fences. The tasteful menu at the bottom of the screen allows you to visit the Database, Textures, and Clear or Share your design.  There are a few options for free, but if you want more textures and images it’s going to cost $10. The app is free at Apple’s App Store and Google Play. […]

  3. I am a landscape designer and a horticulture Manager in UAE.I have recently purchased the App. for one year. However, I was initially disappointed to know the App offers only very limited image data library.
    Please update and extend the data base and your work will be appreciated, if you allow access to our own photographs taken by the customers. In this way we will be able to portray a more realistic picture of the local plants and hard scape features that we actually intend to use and approve from the client.
    I personally feel that the subscription rates are much higher than the utilization of App. I therefore, request the iScape Management to look into the matter and as a compensation, give one year free service for all those who have purchased this expensive App but cannot use to the fullest.
    Moreover, you can appoint various employees on agreed payroll, who can send photos of plants to you that are being used in different parts of the world. I, for example, can send you all hot climate photos of Middle East. In this way, you will develop a huge and unique collection of your photo library.
    Please send the requirements for photos, if you need to include in the library. Of course, the pictures will be personally taken and copy right free with a declaration. Pls. Specify the resolution, background and other specification of photos.
    Looking forward to hear from you soon.

    Kind Regards,
    Nadeem Khan.
